1959 - The Crown Chapter was founded, North East Florida officially began its quest to establish a professional environment for growth and edification of Supply Management professionals.
1984 - The organization later became the Purchasing Management Association-Florida First Coast,
1995 - Again changing its name to the National Association of Purchasing Management - Florida First Coast.
2007 - As the evolution continues in the profession the organization is now called Institute for Supply Management- Florida First Coast (ISM-FFC).
2011 - ISM-FFC holds the 2011-2012 Installation of Officers at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
2017- Golf Tournament- To help find a cure for Rett Syndrome
The organization is an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), which was originally founded in 1915 and has since expanded internationally to over 40,000 members worldwide, making ISM the largest supply management association in the world, as well as one of the most respected.
ISM defines Supply Management as the identification, acquisition, access, positioning, management of resources and related capabilities the organization needs or potentially needs in the attainment of its strategic objectives.
Consequently, ISM-FFC has committed itself to fostering each of these attributes by offering engaging educational seminars, networking events, certification training, and lunch / dinner programs that continue to deliver these business essentials of the Supply Management Profession.
For over 50 years, ISM-FFC has operated as a not-for-profit organization that has dedicated itself to the advancement of Supply Chain professionals throughout Northeast Florida. In today’s business environment the Supply Management Professional is now an intricate part of an organization, which has led ISM-FCC to expand its influence into the business community as a whole.
Over the next 50 years, the ISM-FFC envisions an expansion of business practices through Supply Chain Professionals that will reach all facets of the business community and expand its position in Corporate America.
